Our relationship with the Rooiberg community started when one of our committee members had a house in the area about 10 years ago. We became involved in supporting the primary school by setting up the nursery school and helping them both with resources and capacity building. Often this took the form of moral support and ideas and suggestions.
When the high school opened in 2006 we formalised our supported by forming the Rooiberg Tirisano Project NGO. We visit the school every 6 weeks and continue to offer resources, support and capacity building.
